Please follow the steps below to edit general information about an asset.
From the fixed asset listing, select the asset you want to edit by clicking on the asset ID number.
From this asset information screen, click the Edit button in the upper right corner of the screen.
You can now make general information changes on the Asset Information tab and the Additional Information tab.
In the Asset Information tab, you can clarify asset name, description, whether or not it is in use, and what employee has possession of it, among other things.
In the Additional Information tab, you can specify a physical location for the asset. (Go here for how to create physical locations.) If the physical location every changes, the changes will be tracked in the physical location history table on this tab. This table shows the asset's past and present physical location and the start and end dates of each location.
Be sure to select the Save button after making changes.
