NOTE: It is not recommended that you post depreciation for individual assets. See the bulk depreciation posting section for how to post depreciation once a month for all your assets.
Navigate to the fixed asset overview menu and click Assets.
Click on the asset number you want to post depreciation for.
Click the Edit button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Go to the Depreciation Information tab.
Find the period you would like to post and click Create Post in the Actions column.
You have a choice of when you would like to date the post. NOTE: If the asset was recorded using a different currency than the company's base currency, you cannot post depreciation with a future date, because there is no exchange rate.
