This section details how to reverse a depreciation post that was made at the individual asset level.
Navigate to the asset details by clicking on the asset number in the fixed asset listing.
Click the Edit button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Click to the Depreciation Information tab if not already there. You will now see an Actions column on the right that shows you can reverse a manual, non-batch post.
Click the Reverse Post button next to the period you wish to reverse the individual entry for.
Confirm the date of the reversal, keeping in mind that if the asset is in a different currency than the entity's base currency, you'll want the reversal to occur on the same day as the original post to make sure that there is no exchange rate gain/loss. To determine the date of the original post, simply click into the GL Batch for the period that you want to reverse. This will show you the actual journal entry and its date.
