Split into Multiple Assets Prior to Placing into Service Please view the short video below for a tutorial on splitting a purchase into multiple assets prior to placing it in service. Alternatively, see the narrative below.
From the fixed assets overview menu, select assets. You will be taken to your list of fixed assets.
Using the View drop-down in the upper left corner of the screen, select Assets Waiting to be Placed Into Service.
Open the asset you wish split into multiple assets by clicking on the asset number.
Click the Split Into Multiple Assets button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Enter the number of assets you are splitting the acquisition into. NOTE: You will be able to edit values in the next step.
Enter names and serial numbers for your assets by clicking on the placeholder "Click to Edit."
Change dollar value amounts by clicking on the existing amounts.
If at any time you want to start over, you can click the Reset button.
To save your work, click Process Changes, followed by Proceed.
